Custom Mirrors
Custom mirrors, backsplashes & table tops are another one of our specialties. No matter the size of job we’re working on, at Super Glass we always custom-cut or custom-order every piece to ensure each customer gets exactly what is needed. Whether you’re working on a kitchen or bathroom renovation, our team of professional installers do it all with great attention to detail.
Vanity Mirrors
Glaziers are essentially the last trade to take part in your bathroom renovation process. Once your countertop and electrical boxes are installed, we will then come and measure your custom mirrors If your new vanity mirror is to go in a frame, it is best that you have the frame made up before the mirror. Once the frame is made, we will glue the mirror into the frame, and install at your home. There are different variables to consider when it comes to mirrors including:
- Thickness of mirror
– typically 3mm (1/8”) for framed mirrors
– typically 5mm (3/16”) for mirrors with no frame or for larger framed mirrors
– 6mm for large mirrors with no frame or for mirrored walls
- Bevel vs. polished edges
– bevels are available in ½” thick up to 1 ½” thick and give more of a classic look
– polished edges are more contemporary and usually give a modern feel
Take a look at our blog post regarding glass edging to get a better idea of different styles to choose from.
Vanity mirrors are typically installed using clear (regular) mirror. If you are looking to install a mirror in your restaurant or pub, coloured mirrors are available:
- Black mirror
- Grey mirror
- Bronze mirror

Kitchen Backsplashes
Like a vanity mirror, if a new glass backsplash is a part of your kitchen reno, glaziers are the last trade to come in. Once the countertop is installed give us a call and we will come by to measure. Glass backsplashes will normally be fabricated from mirror or a back-painted glass – it is ultimately your decision and comes down to what kind of look you’re trying to achieve. Back-painted stock colours are:
- Black
- Harmony solex (green)
- Warm grey
- Harmony blue
- White
- Harmony grey
- Lava bronze
- Medium grey
Although these are the standard colours available, custom colours are available upon request – please keep in mind that back-painted glass custom colours cost substantially more than standard colours. Always ask for a sample before making your colour choice. Make sure to check out our portfolio to see vanity mirrors and backsplashes Super Glass has installed.
